I just finished the campaign and it was AWESOME. 

Can't wait for the "expansions" (that'll cost as much as if not more than WoL).

You finished the game in ONE day and you're happy??? what fucking game has such a short single player?!!?

I finished it in 2 days of almost constant play but I was only playing on Normal difficulty.

It's 30+ missions in total.

Believe me, I was the first one to bitch when I heard that this game was only going to have the 1st 3'rd of the campaign (the zerg and protoss campaigns will be released over the next 2 years)  but what part of the game has been released was very good.

The firebat was my favorite character from the first game. They overdid him this time around, though. He always sounds like he's getting a blowjob when he talks

btw, I'm playing this game exactly like the first one. Marine/Tank/Firebats is golden. With Goliaths being portable missile turrets.

The "Tank Push" is the only Terran tactic that I could ever do effectively in SC1. And that's all I'm doing now. I suck at these games.

edit: Yeah, that's right. Fuck all that redundant new shit they put in there.

I like the Viking aircraft And the option of paying a little more for significantly better units in the form of the Mercs.

And the rail-gun hovercraft is great for ambushing any unit that has to stop moving in order to be able to fire (which is pretty much every other unit out there).

Well, if you want to boil it down that far you could say that any RTS out there is just Dune: The Battle for Arakis with a reskin.

SC was cool when it came out because instead of two sides that were essentially the same with maybe some different units, it presented three distinct sides, the mechanics of each were unique from the other two.

I played some lan action the other day, trying it out. I was abit dissapointed. It's exactly like SC, but abit more smooth and good lookin'. I never was a die hard fan, even if I loved the SP campaign. I somehow hoped to be "blown away" by...something new.

Will buy it though.

after DL'ng client from blizzard.com I was able to get up and running.  Something was wrong with the disc i'm sure.

Ok, wow this game looks good at high graphics.  Runs very smooth too!!

I've only played the very first 2 campaign missions which were a snore (as tutorial missions should be) then I went online.

LOL I got rofl-stomped by some people who really knew what they were doing.  I'm going to have my work cut out for me for sure!

this may sound like a dumb Q but are you doing an actual save or relying on the auto-save feature?

Downloaded this Saturday night and have put in a few hours on the campaign mode on normal.  I'm maybe 1/3 of the way through, though it's pretty easy.  I'm sure I'd do terrible on hard though, so I'm not even gonna bother with it until I beat normal mode.

SG I'm probably just as bad as you, I always get my ass kicked in RTS multiplayer.  I swear you have to be a crackhead or a tweaker to keep up with some of these people.
